This week I have two FREEdownloads for you! They are both about Presidents of the LDS/Mormon Church. They can be used in class, for sharing time, for singing time, for Family Home Evening, or for general use. One has games and activities that can be used to teach about each of the presidents, and the other one is a kit that can be used for all kinds of guessingand matching games. It has pictures, numbers (order of service), facts, names, and signatures for all the presidents, along with suggestions on how to use the kit.
Here’s a FREEdownload for teaching children about temples. It has games and activities to help children understand the purpose and functions of the holy Houses of the Lord. This book was adapted from a theme book and was first introduced as a FREEdownload. It has never been in print.
It’s important for children to understand what temples are for and what happens inside them. Temples are sacred, and some things need to be spoken about only when there, but they are not a secret, and not to be thought of as scary or mysterious.
There’s a story every LDS child should know, and that’s the story of Joseph Smith’s first vision. It’s the beginning of the great Restoration, with the same gospel, organization, and priesthood found in the ancient Church. Either you believe it and the rest follows, or you don’t, and none of it is true.
