Well, we’ve certainly had an eventful time recently. We’ve lost our beloved President Monson and now we have a new president, Russell M. Nelson, with his counselors. Because of that, and the many posts I’ve seen on Facebookabout Primary leaders wondering how to talk to children about this, I’ve undertaken some revisions.
Three of the FREE DOWNLOADS had pictures of President Monson on the front and content about him. Those books have been revised or added to, and are now available as FREE downloads for you to use in any way you wish. You can certainly use some of that content to tell the children about our new prophet, President Russell M. Nelson.
When you want to tell childrenabout Jesus Christ and some of the miraculous things He did, what better way than to use some of the stories contained in these 3 kits? Kit #1tells about His baptismby John, and the Temptation. Kit #2 contains the stories of Jesus calling His apostles.Kit #3 tells about the marriage at Cana and the woman at the well.
When I tell the stories, I prepare the figures by laminatingthem, cutting them out, and putting hook velcro on the backs, and after telling the stories, I let them play with the figures and tell the stories back to me using my Storyboard. They learn and remember best through play, and they enjoy retelling the stories.
The 2018 Primary theme is “I Am a Child of God,” and I have two FREEdownloadsthat support that theme! The books can be printed, copied, and the files can be shared with others. They can be used for sharing time, your classroom, Family Home Evening, or for general use, such as keeping kids quiet and occupied in church or at home.
The first one is “I Am a Child of God Activity Book,” and the second one is “Gospel Games: I Am a Beloved Child of Heavenly Father.” Both of them have games and activities that can help teach kids that they are children of God.

Once upon a time, there was a horse about to be sold to the slaughterhouse, and a man who saw something special in him. The horse was saved, and he became a celebrated show jumper. His name was Snowman.
Once upon a time, someone gave me a crippled horse. He was in pain, but there was something special about him. It turned out he had been stolen, and somebody tracked him down and I let him go back to his owner. He had once been a champion, and was rehabilitated. His name was Rebel.
This week I have a great kit for your FREEdownload! It’s a kit with parts to a chart that you can use to teach children about the Plan of Salvation. Put it together while explaining God’s plan of happiness.
In my local Primary, they hand out activity pages for General Conference. That’s because it’s super hard for little kids to pay attention for hours and hours over a two-day span. Heck, it’s hard for adults, and I usually need to read the report to remember what was said. That’s because I “sometimes” fall asleep…. even though the talks are inspired and interesting.
This book has activities to help children pay attention, or at least to learn something about General Conference. You can print pages out from your FREE download and use them in any way you choose, including giving them to friends and passing copies out to your own Primary.
This week I have two FREEdownloads for you! They are both about Presidents of the LDS/Mormon Church. They can be used in class, for sharing time, for singing time, for Family Home Evening, or for general use. One has games and activities that can be used to teach about each of the presidents, and the other one is a kit that can be used for all kinds of guessingand matching games. It has pictures, numbers (order of service), facts, names, and signatures for all the presidents, along with suggestions on how to use the kit.
