If you’ve been following my blog for very long, you won’t be surprised that my featured download for this week is my FREE General Conference Activity Book! (Because I’ve been featuring it right before conference for forever.) This version is updated and ready for your children to use to keep them interested in what’s going on for General Conference.
One thing we surely want our children to know is that our Church is led by a prophet of God. We want them to know who he is, learn about him, and listen to him. We know from scripture that our Heavenly Father will never let our prophet lead us astray.
These books teach children about our prophets and teach them to listen to him.
I hope everybody watched General Conference! It was amazing. President Nelson once again proved to us all that he is God’s prophet for these times. He introduced a new 2-hour schedule (YAY!) for Sundays, and he asked us to stop using nicknames, and start using the correct name of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We can do that.
We were also asked to have a 10-day “fast” from social media, so I’m using Facebook for business only, as in: I’ll post this blog but not the stuff I usually do, like how I don’t like certain events and points of view. I thought I’d have withdrawal symptoms, but so far, none have appeared.
Just in time for General Conference, I have a revised version of the General Conference Activity Book featuring President Russell M. Nelson available for FREE! I remember being a youngster and being totally bored by watching conference on TV. In southern California where I lived at the time, it was shown on a network station, which was fortunate because it was before cable. I would have welcomed some activities to help me engage with what was going on. I did like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir music, though.
