I don’t know how you feel about it, but I’ve always thought that it isn’t fair that the Young Men, through the Scouting program, get a badge every time they turn around, but it takes forever – years, even – for Young Women to get a necklace thingy. Not that those aren’t nice, but….
Last week I showed you some downloads of books for teaching younger children; this week I’m featuring teaching aids for older children. These are based on the outdated lesson books that have been replaced by the new “Come, Follow Me” curriculum. Make no mistake, these books are stuffed with great ideas that can help your children or students learn and be entertained. There’s a set for each of the four standard works. There are Classroom Activity Books and Activity Books for the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants/Church History, Old Testament, and New Testament.
Hey all you choristers! Here’s a must-have book download for you, and it’s FREE! Imagine having visual aids for every song in the Children’s Songbook as well as instructions on how to store and use them, plus a guide for line-by-line use of visuals for each song.
I hope everybody watched General Conference! It was amazing. President Nelson once again proved to us all that he is God’s prophet for these times. He introduced a new 2-hour schedule (YAY!) for Sundays, and he asked us to stop using nicknames, and start using the correct name of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We can do that.
We were also asked to have a 10-day “fast” from social media, so I’m using Facebook for business only, as in: I’ll post this blog but not the stuff I usually do, like how I don’t like certain events and points of view. I thought I’d have withdrawal symptoms, but so far, none have appeared.
