There’s one Christmastradition I like a lot, and that’s storytelling. When my kids were young, we always told the Nativity story on Christmas Eve, because that’s the reason we have a Christmas celebration in the first place. There are a lot of other great Christmas Stories, and here are three kits for telling them. In a kit, you get a story, some visual aids to help tell the story, activitiesto go with the story, as well as instructions and suggestions.
Are you in a Primary presidency, or are you a Primary chorister? These books have been written especially for you. The first book, 2018 Primary Theme Book, is the essential one for Primary presidencies. It has helps for planning the year, tips for the children’s program, and – count ’em – two sharing time ideas for every month. Some of the sharing time ideas help you do suggested activities from the Outline, and some reinforce scriptures or ideas from the Outline. I’ve been a chorister, counselor, and president in Primary, and have also taught every age group in 40+ years in Primary callings. I like to use use things that have helped me, as well as being easy and quick to prepare. This week I’m giving you a FREEdownloadof a Thanksgiving Turkey decoration! You can use it on your wall or it can be adapted for classroomlessons, singing time, FHE, or sharing time. Example: for sharing, have children write on feathersthings they are grateful for, and assemble to make the turkey. For singing time, write song names or numbers on the feathers and have kids “pluck” one to sing a song.
Every year for over 20 years, I’ve written books for the LDS Primary themes. There are a bunch of books every year, and I used to sell printed books to bookstores, but now I only sell them on Amazonin Kindleformat, with free pdfand Worddownloads for printing and/or editing, depending on the book. It’s almost the end of the year, so I’m putting the current 2017ones up as free downloads. You may still be able to use them, and they serve as samples so you can see what the books are like in case you’re thinking of purchasing the new ones for 2018. Anyway, here they are – just follow the links to get your FREEdownloads.
